Last year we launched a new market in the City of Groton. The market is held at Washington Park, every Tuesday from 3:00-6:00pm, from July 11 – October 31. Washington Park is a perfect location for a market, right at the corner of Mitchell St. and Meridian. It’s a place to gather with friends, meet local farmers, and join in the spirit of buying local.
We have farm-fresh fruits, vegetables, flowering plants, seedlings, soaps, honey and maple syrup, eggs, cheese, coffee, and a variety of meats. Pottery, jewelry, breads and cookies, lemonade also fill our market with the best locally produced foods and artwares possible.
Come meet the farmers from Whepittituck Farm, Cold Spring Farm, Whittle’s Willow Spring Farm, Collins Farm, Terra Firma Farm, Smith’s Acres and Soeltl Farm.
This year we are planning Family Day on July 25 with lots of fun activities for children of all ages and their parents. Senior Day is scheduled for August 29th and will introduce you to fun activities, hobbies, and services for our more seasoned neighbors.
