The mission of the Field of Greens Farmers Markets is to provide venues in neighborhoods for local farmers and artisans to sell their produce and products directly to the diverse and integrated community in southeastern Connecticut. Our aim is to make accessible affordable, healthy locally produced food to locations throughout New London and now the City of Groton.

Field of Greens Farmers Market adds Groton City Marketgirl-at-farmers-market

With support of the USDA Farmers Market Promotion Grant, the New London Field of Greens Market will expand this year, opening a new market in the City of Groton. Stay tuned for some exciting news, as we welcome even more opportunities for local farmers who provide Connecticut grown and produced foods and increase access to healthy, farm fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, cheeses and more.

Thank you to Mitchell College for hosting our Wine and Chocolate Event to Raise Funds for Field of Greens Farmers’ Markets!

We want to thank Mitchell College for hosting this year’s Wine and Chocolate Extravaganza!  April 16th was a beautiful evening with amazing array of the finest chocolates, chocolate sauces, cakes and confections and local wines, craft beers, and yummy coffee, all under the smooth backdrop of local jazz musicians.  And thank you to all those that attended – your support of the Field of Greens Farmers’ Market means that we can add more “value added coupons” for low income residents, have music at our markets, offer children’s activities, and promote healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables and other natural foods to those we serve. Thank you, thank you!

Thank you to our 2015 Vendors and Partners

As we prepare for Summer Season 2016, here’s a look at this past season’s vendors. We hope that you will look for them at other venues during our off season.
