New London Field of Greens Market

We’re headed toward a new Season and some exciting changes!!

2014 Season

The New London Field of Greens farmers’ market will open July 5 at a new location, at Williams Park, at Broad and Channing streets. With the new site, the market will combine its two previous sites – on Fridays at Parade Plaza and Saturdays at Hodges Square – into one location.

The market will take place every Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. through Oct. 11. Local music and children’s activities will be offered, thanks to Gramma’s Attic Promotions.

The farmers’ market also will continue at one of its previous locations, at the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital parking lot on Montauk Avenue, from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays from July 9 to Oct. 15.

The markets will accept credit and debit cards, cash and EBT/SNAP and WIC/SFMNP benefits. EBT/SNAP users will receive a $5 bonus for $5 or more of EBT purchases, provided by Legrand/Ortronics.

Market shoppers will be able to purchase locally grown fruits and vegetables and locally produced honey, jams, baked goods, free-range chickens, eggs, pork, barbecue sauces, maple syrup and other items.
